Jason Schwartzman's Coconut Records

Just wanted to share some cool music that I found. I actually just heard them when i was playing Tap Tap Revenge 2. They're called Coconut Records. Its Jason Schwartzman's project that he started in 2006 after his departure from Phantom Planet in 2003. Check his band out at these links below. I recommend listening to West Coast, Microphone & Nighttiming. There are plenty more that rock and i highly suggest listening to both albums Davy & Nighttiming. Why do OLD PEOPLE use Facebook?

So TIME magazine just pushed out an article about why old people use Facebook. I have to be honest I'm still uncomfortable about the idea but i see why they (old people) have latched on. I guess in the long run I'm totally cool with it. I def agree that its a great way for people young or old to connect with old friends. But why are all my friends mom's Facebooking me? AWKWARD!!! I mean do you remember when your mom or dad dropped you off at school and how embarrassing it was if you were seen with them? Or do you remember when your parents chauffeured you to and from the movies with your girlfriend? YEAH, kinda AWKWARD!!! I personally didn't want to been seen with them. HAHAHHA. Obviously I'm over that now but def wasn't then. I guess I initially felt like they were intruding on my space when some of my relatives jumped on the FB wagon, but I guess at the end of the day I have to just say WHATEVER. I'm sharing these 3 videos with you guys because I've never seen an artist deliver the same song in 3 different ways like this. The song is called "For Emma." And yes, i know its all acoustic and bla bla bla. But seriously this dude is the man. No matter which version im listening to, it sounds new and provokes a different emotion that I can connect with every time. Its a sad song but honestly i love it. Each version is perfect.

If you go to download content on Skate 2 you can purchase and unlock some old skate spots from the original SKATE. Pretty dope if i might say so myself. Thanks EA and Blackbox for keeping it fresh.

STOKED or NOT SO STOKED :)

I have to be honest. I'm not too happy with the launch of STOKED for 360. I have to say its pretty weak. I know that they tried to adapt the controls that the SKATE franchise has made work so well but honestly...it doesnt work. Yeah cool the weather is pretty sweet but that def. doesnt cover up for the poor gameplay. Sorry STOKED but i give it a thumbs down and i might sell you back. :( peace out. kahncept
